HiST has developed six strategic areas of priority for the period 2010 – 2015:

• Health facilitation: Research for best practice
• Writing as part of the development of knowledge and profession – a growth area for teachers and students of all subjects
• Bio-treatment: From basic mechanisms of illness to targeted diagnostics and treatment
• HiST Mobile: Hist Learning Mobile Initiative
• Finance management in private and public enterprises
• Activity and participation
